I have put together my top 10 list of the cheapest travel destinations through out the world. These are places where you can explore for less than $50 a day, sometimes less. Destinations that are full of culture and heritage, beautiful and amazing sights, interesting people and unique foods.

India
I visited several cities in India a few years ago and wow what an amazing experience. First of all, I have never seen so many people in one place in my life. With well over 1 billion people in this country, people watching never gets old here.
As an example how cheap India can be, we would grab transportation from one end of the city to the other in a auto rickshaw for less than 1 US Dollar. India has come a long way in recent past, so you will see both very rich accommodations right next to extreme poverty.
From the Himalayan peaks to over thousand year old temples, India is rich with amazing things in store for you. Check out this video below.
Thailand
Take a walk through the markets of Bangkok, take a dip in their crystal blue waters, visit the Grand Palace, take in the wild life, culture and history of a wonderful little paradise called Thailand awaits you.
Thailand has certainly become a tourist attractions over the years with some areas becoming quite commercial, but there are still plenty of things to do and see without costing you much of anything. It is still a very popular place to do for very affordable travel. Check out this video of Thailand below.
Indonesia
This beautiful nation is filled with breathtaking beaches, exotic animals and thousands of volcanic islands. Check out the Komodo dragons, the elephants in the jungles, Orangutans and the Tigers. Explore the beautiful beaches, the gamelan music and traditional puppetry. Be in town for the Galungan Festival or visit the Sekumpul Waterfalls in Singaraja.
Indonesia has plenty of things to see and do for a very low cost trip.
Cambodia
Known as the Kingdom of Wonder, Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation that has had years or turmoil, but as of late they have established a newfound political stability that has brought life back into Cambodia tourism.
Whether you want to check out the authentic capital city of Phnom Penh, visit the ruins of Angkor Wat or visit the beautiful beaches of South Lure Sybarites, Cambodia has something for everyone and those on a budget too.
Fiji
Ahhh, Fiji. If you want to really get away from everything, Fiji might just be your destination. Nestled in the South Pacific, Fiji is a beautiful escape in paradise. Crystal blue waters, exotic animals, wonderful authentic open-air markets, even hidden waterfalls await you in this destination.
Given it’s distance from most anywhere, once you arrive in Fiji it can be very affordable.
China
Looking for the Great Wall of China or the Forbidden City? Maybe take in the ancient world of China or check out the ancient Terracotta Army. Many great cities exist in China, from Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou.
If you are looking for value for your money, consider heading outside of the major cities. Consider hiking in Mutianyu or strolling through the Yu Garden.
South Korea
Yet another affordable city if South Korea. Take in the city of Seoul or travel across the country visiting the numerous temples, palaces and park systems.
Greece
This southeastern country of Europe is spread across thousands of islands through out the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Greece has your iconic ancient ruins of Parthenon at the Acropolis citadel, a must see for anyone visiting Greece.
Greece also has well known for it’s beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the resorts that were built to party at Mykonos.
Guatemala
I have never been to Guatemala, but would love to go. I have been to both of it’s neighboring countries Honduras and Belize, both very interesting countries in their own right.
Visit ancient temples, volcanoes of Antigua or check out the city of Guatemala City. They even have a zoo. Yet another affordable travel destination.
